Meghan Nenninger
President
Meghan is excited to serve as President of Friends of Burr and is passionate about building a strong, welcoming school community where families feel connected, informed, and encouraged to get involved. A proud mom of a 7th grader and 5th grader, this marks her family's eighth year at Burr. She believes some of the best ideas happen when people come together, share their strengths, and aren't afraid to try something new. Her goal is to keep FOB collaborative, transparent, and fun—because supporting our school takes a village, and it might as well be a village we enjoy being part of! As President, Meghan looks forward to working with Burr families, teachers, staff, and the FOB Board to support the programs, events, and little extras that make Burr so special.

A proud Burr parent to a 3rd grader and a **2027 incoming Kindergarten Bulldog**, Christina loves bringing families together and finding creative ways to support Burr’s students and teachers. Whether she’s helping plan an event, tackling a new project, or dreaming up ways to make Burr even better, she’s always excited to jump in and help make things happen.

As a mom to 2 Burr Bulldogs and someone who lives in the neighborhood, Dana is fully invested in helping the Burr community grow. Dana's favorite parts about being involved with Friends of Burr include meeting prospective families while leading school tours, creating partnerships between local businesses and the school, selling Burr merch, and helping families find ways to get involved. Burr has become a big part of her family's everyday lives and she hopes it will feel the same for you!

Julia has two children at Burr, one in 1st grade and one in 4th grade. She helps run the school store and enjoys finding ways to support our school community. Volunteering at FOB events is one of her favorite ways to meet new families and build connections within our school. Her favorite event is the Block Party because it brings students, families, and staff together for a fun evening of community and celebration.
Lisa Uehara

Lisa is a proud Burr parent of a 5th and 1st grader and longtime Bucktown and Wicker Park resident. She loves being part of the Burr community and joined Friends of Burr to help bring families together and to support our students, teachers, and staff in any way she can. She co-chairs the Gala Auction Committee and assists with other Burr events throughout the year. She has a full-time career as a marketing executive so you may see her commuting downtown to the Loop. Lisa is grateful to be part of such a fun, welcoming community and is looking forward to another great year at Burr!
Elizabeth Paterson

Elizabeth is thrilled to be joining the Friends of Burr board and looks forward to supporting the incredible people and energy that make Burr Elementary such a welcoming community. As a proud parent of a 1st grader, she's looking forward to getting to know more families and staff, continuing to help with the school store (where she loves keeping up with whatever the latest 'it thing' is that kids are clamoring for!), and supporting Teacher Appreciation Week events, truly one of the most important weeks of the year.
